District and Block Captains Ginter Park is organized by nine districts and 74 blocks, each needing a representative to facilitate communications between GPRA and their residents. GPRA Community Days at Shalom Farms We have three planned mornings at Shalom Farms to volunteer as a community. We can have up to 20 volunteers each day. Planning and Zoning:
Write to and/or appear at Planning Commission and City Council meetings to advocate for smart planning.
Volunteer for occasional activities such as the various City zoning refresh committees and participate in their on-line surveys.
Join a subcommittee to track and make recommendations regarding such issues as the north/south pulse expansion and fall line trail as they affect Northside.
Work with similar committees in other associations to produce a stronger voice of advocacy for our common issues.
Work with the beautification and crime committees to address issues of interest to planning (tree planting, infrastructure, street closings for traffic improvements, etc…).
