Volunteers needed!

Beautification
If you love all the of beautiful flowers in the medians along Brook and Chamberlayne, keep an eye out for the beautification team's volunteer days. They can always use an extra hand, even if you only have an hour to help!
Contact Susan Rebillot for more information.

District and Block Captains
Ginter Park is organized by nine districts and 74 blocks, each needing a representative to facilitate communications between GPRA and their residents. District and block captains are the heart of the community!
Contact Ingrid Harding to join the team!

Events
Our events are all put on by volunteers! We'd love for you to pitch in. Planning, setup / clean up, food prep, and more!
Contact the following people:
Nancy Falcone for the Garden Soiree (May) and the Harvest Festival (October)
Prudence Justis and Candace Blydenburgh for all other events.

Planning and Zoning:
  • Write to and/or appear at Planning Commission and City Council meetings to advocate for smart planning.
  • Volunteer for occasional activities such as the various City zoning refresh committees and participate in their on-line surveys.
  • Join a subcommittee to track and make recommendations regarding such issues as the north/south pulse expansion and fall line trail as they affect Northside.
  • Work with similar committees in other associations to produce a stronger voice of advocacy for our common issues.
  • Work with the beautification and crime committees to address issues of interest to planning (tree planting, infrastructure, street closings for traffic improvements, etc…).
Contact: Stephen Weisensale or Katie Cortez

Room Grandparents:
Are you retired and interested in adopting a classroom at Linwood Holton Elementary? Contact Norma Murdoch-Kitt to get involved with being a Room Grandparent!

Shalom Farms Community Days
We have four planned mornings at Shalom Farms to volunteer as a community. We can have up to 20 volunteers each day. The planned dates for 2025 are on Wednesdays: August 6, September 3, October 8 and November 5. Sign up form will be posted soon.

Summer Youth Internship:
Apply to be one of six youth interns in our first internship program! We need youth voices and can't wait to increase activities for the younger people in our community. Click here for details and application.
